"The Cowshed" (Beudy Uchaf which means Upper Cowshed in Welsh) is a comfortable pet friendly, self catering, quality holiday home, and as the name suggests is a modern barn conversion with 2 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4. This cottage, being all on one level, may be more suitable should one of your party have limited mobility.

When you fancy exploring the locality, there's a range of attractions nearby, with something for everyone.

The Welshpool and Llanfair light railway, Powis Castle, Llanfyllin workhouse, horse riding at Penycoed, the Red Kite feeding station at Rhayader are just some of the local attractions.

Of course, there is also plenty of walking with footpaths enabling you to enjoy a range of scenery and natural habitats - from mountains to rivers and woodlands.

At the end of a hard day's hiking you can unwind with a drink and meal in one of the local village pubs. We are also within an hour or so drive from southern Snowdonia and the coast for day trips slightly further afield.
