The Selkirk Arms Hotel in Kirkcudbright, South West Scotland is home to good food, real ales and a warm welcome from the proprietors Chris and Sue. The Hotel has 16 en-suite Double or Twin bedrooms.
The Selkirk Arms Hotel dates back to 1777 and is known to have had Robert Burns as a lodger on several occasions around 1794, although there are conflicting stories as to the origin of The Selkirk Grace, many believe that it was at this very hotel that Burns penned the famous grace prior to attending at dinner hosted by the Earl of Selkirk at his home on St Mary's Isle.
The hotel is now a modern four star 16 bedroomed townhouse hotel in private ownership set in the centre of the pretty harbour and "Artists" town of Kirkcudbright.
The hotel rooms are complete with tea and coffee making facilities, freeview tv, free wifi, direct dial phone and hairdryers. has cosy lounges, a choice of dining locations, a well stocked bar, a secluded garden for al fresco dining, a bike store and car park.
We have a car park at the back of the hotel and plenty of street parking at the front. Should you need help with your luggage when you arrive please come to reception and we will be more than happy to help.
Please note that our restaurant tends to be busy most days and we strongly recommend making an advanced reservation for evening meals.

DOGS
Well behaved dogs are welcome at the hotel and are allowed in your room and in the Burns room lounge, unfortunately for the sake of other diners dogs are not permitted in dining areas. There is a small charge of £10 per night for dogs. Please advise us upon booking if you are bringing your dog. We have lots of great walks to share with you and you may bump into Leo the hotel dog on your travels.
